Utah Royals FC V. Seattle Reign Match Postponed Due To Weather

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Wednesday’s match between Utah Royals FC and Seattle Reign was postponed due to weather.
The NWSL match was canceled due to heavy amounts of rain in the Seattle area over the past few days.
Both clubs came to an agreement that the match should be played at a later date due to unplayable field conditions.

The Royals published a release on Wednesday night stating that the game would be scheduled for a later date.
“Utah Royals FC’s match on Wednesday against Reign FC has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions after heavy rain over the last several days. The match will be rescheduled at later date” – Utah Royals FC
Team officials have told KSL Sports that the match is rescheduled for Wednesday, September 25. Kickoff time has yet to be determined.

Gunnhildur Jonsdottir buried her first goal of the season in Utah Royals FC’s loss to the Houston Dash on Friday, September 13.
Jonsdottir’s goal ruined a Dash shutout when she drilled a shot into the top right of the net in the 75th minute of play. It was the midfielder’s first goal of the 2019 season.
The Royals’ comeback stalled in the final minutes of the second half and they fell to the Dash 2-1.
URFC moved to 9-4-7 on the season with the loss.
