PROVO, Utah – BYU quarterback Zach Wilson and wide receiver Dax Milne have been friends since their days as kids playing Junior Jazz basketball together.
The two signed with BYU out of high school and are now in their sophomore years with the Cougar football program.

On Saturday, against No. 24-ranked USC, Wilson and Milne connected for the first time as BYU Cougars for a touchdown reception, and it came on a big play.

It took place in the second quarter with the Cougars and Trojans tied up at 10 with 10:19 remaining in the second quarter. Wilson put it up in the air and Milne, with a USC defensive back draped all over him, came down with the 30-yard catch to give BYU their second lead of the game.

The touchdown was Milne’s second in his BYU career. The first was also from Wilson last year in the Cougars win over Western Michigan in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
Wilson’s touchdown to Milne was his second TD pass of the year.
