BYU Offensive Line Pushes Ty’Son Williams Into Endzone To Upset Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – BYU was down 26-23 in the second overtime against the Tennessee Volunteers when the Cougars’ offensive line pushed Ty’Son Williams across the goal and into the endzone for the game-winning touchdown.
The Volunteers took a 26-23 lead on a field goal and forced BYU to score on their next possession to either tie or win the game.
The Cougars were down three when Williams ran in the five-yard touchdown in the second overtime.

The Cougars take home the three-point victory after trailing most of the game. The Cougars took their first lead of the game on a touchdown pass from Zach Wilson to Talon Shumway in the first overtime.
BYU forced overtime in the final minute of the game with a field goal made by Jake Oldroyd. The field goal was set up by a long pass from Wilson to receiver, Micah Simon.
BYU moved to a record of 1-1 with the win.

Up next for the Cougars is USC. BYU will host the Trojans on Saturday, September 14 at 1:30 p.m.
