Miami Dolphins Release Former Utah Defensive End Nate Orchard

MIAMI, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced that they have released former Utah Utes defensive end Nate Orchard from their 53-man roster.
Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported Orchard’s release from the Dolphins.
The team has already claimed linebacker James Crawford off of waivers. Orchard spent the preseason with the Dolphins and recorded 4 sacks.

Orchard joined the Dolphins in May after spending three seasons with the Cleveland Browns, who drafted him in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
After the stint in Cleveland, Orchard spent one month with both the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs in 2018.
In April, the former Ute was signed by the Seattle Seahawks, where he spent one month before being released.
During his time in the NFL, Orchard has 69 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 5 pass deflections and one interception.
The Dolphins have another former Utah Utes player on their team in cornerback Eric Rowe.
