BYU Fumble Leads To Utah Touchdown To Start 4Q

PROVO, Utah – The Utah Utes caught a break after missing a 25-yard field goal by Andrew Srauch when defensive end Mika Tafua recovered a fumble.
BYU running back Ty’Son Williams fumbled the ball, which Utah recovered on the second play of their drive following the missed field goal.
Utah had favorable field position with 22-yards to go to the end zone. Running back Zack Moss ran for 14 yards to get into the red zone, wide receiver Demari Simpkins had a short four yard run before Moss punched it in from four yards away to put Utah up 23-6.
It’s the first touchdown of the season for Moss after running in 11 touchdowns last season.

It was BYU’s second turnover of the game with Cougars quarterback Zach Wilson throwing an interception to former BYU linebacker Francis Bernard for a 58-yard return for a touchdown in the second quarter.
On BYU’s next drive in the fourth quarter following Utah’s touchdown, Wilson threw an interception to Julian Blackmon, who ran the pick back 39-yards for a a touchdown.
Utah is on their way to winning their ninth straight game over BYU.
