Erickson has an impressive coaching resume, spending time in both the NFL – with the Seahawks and 49ers – and in college football with the likes of Wyoming, Washington State and Arizona State, among others.
He is most well-known for his coaching stint at the University of Miami where he won two National Championships in 1989 and 1991.
At the end of his coaching career, Erickson returned to Utah to coach the failed AAF team – The Salt Lake Stallions – for the eight games the team played before the league folded.
Other 2019 inductees include Darren McFadden (Arkansas), Jake Plummer (Arizona State) and Troy Polamalu (Southern California). The only other coach on the list is Joe Taylor former Florida A&M coach.
