Prior to Training Camps opening up last month, Nacua was waived by the Carolina Panthers. Nacua was with the Panthers organization throughout the entire off-season program.
In Nacua’s previous two seasons in the NFL, his highlight season was in his rookie campaign in 2017 with the Cleveland Browns. With the Browns, Nacua played in 16 games and started in three and he recorded a total of 13 tackles that season. Nacua hasn’t played in an NFL game since 2017. Last year, Nacua was on the Baltimore Ravens practice squad.
With Nacua now signing with the Colts, there are now 14 former BYU players in the NFL. In Nacua’s career at BYU from 2014-2016, he had 14 interceptions and 163 tackles in his Cougar career.
