ORLANDO, Fla. – Much like Real Salt Lake, Utah Royals FC is on a roll as they beat the Orlando Pride 2-0 on the road for their third straight win.

The first goal was scored by Christen Press in the 60th minute as Lo’eau LaBonta chipped the ball over the back line to Press, who tapped the ball into the back of the net.

It’s the sixth goal of the season for Press, who has been playing a very good brand of soccer since returning to the Royals from the United States Women’s National Team.

The Royals picked up a second goal of the match in the 77th minute when Veronica Boquete passed the ball through the defense to Amy Rodgriguez, who fired the shot, deflecting the ball off of the goalkeeper and sailing into the back of the net.

Rodriguez has 8 goals on the season and is in second place in the NWSL.

With the win, the Royals have launched up the NWSL standings in fourth place with 27 points. They are one point behind North Carolina for third, two points behind Chicago for second and three points behind Portland for first place.

They will finish their three-game road trip on Wednesday, August 21 at the Washington Spirit. First kick is at 5:30 p.m. and the match can be streamed at or the KSL TV app.
