SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A former Utah High School football defensive lineman is coming back to the Beehive state. Mufi Hill-Hunt is transferring from Michigan State to the University of Utah as a graduate transfer.
Hunt will join the Utes as a walk-on after spending the last two seasons with the Spartans.
The Taylorsville High School star graduated from Michigan State this summer, which means he is eligible to play immediately for the Utes.

He is a 6’6, 285 pound defensive lineman, who will likely play the tackle position which features Leki Fotu, John Penisini, Pita Tonga, Hauati Pututau among others.
When Hunt was being recruited out of Taylorsville High School, he received offers as a three-star prospect from programs that include Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington, Washington State and Utah before choosing Michigan State.
In 2016, he used his redshirt as a freshman and played in two games in 2017 as a redshirt freshman. As a sophomore last season, he didn’t play in any games for the Spartans.
