SANDY, Utah – In just a two-minute span, Utah Royals FC striker Christen Press gave the home side a comfortable 2-0 lead against Sky Blue FC.
Press’ first goal came in the 27th minute on the counter attack with Lo’eau LaBonta setting up Press with a through ball and Press slightly touched the ball before getting it into the back of the net.

LaBonta was credited with just one assist since the first goal had the pass deflected before Press scored. It’s her first assist this season.
Press is making her first appearance with the Royals since returning from the victory tour with the United States Women’s National Team.
Utah hasn’t won a match in six straight contests and are in need of a win as they are in seventh place in the NWSL standings, one point behind the Houston Dash for sixth place.
