SANDY, Utah – It was tied 1-1 between Real Salt Lake and New York City FC until the 75th minute when Albert Rusnak put away a powerful shot past New York goalkeeper Sean Johnson to give RSL a 2-1 lead.
The goal was set up when Damir Kreilach played the ball into the box but was headed out by New York. The ball landed to Kyle Beckerman, who passed to Albert Rusnak on the left side of the goal and about 20 yards away and fired with his right foot past Johnson.
Beckerman had the assist on the first goal of the night for RSL when he found Jefferson Savarino in the 37th minute. It’s the fourth assist on the season for Beckerman.
