Jazz Fall To Heat In Summer League Despite Reed’s Double-Double

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Utah Jazz struggled shooting the basketball in the first half of their 93-81 loss to the Miami Heat in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
Utah only scored 34 points in the first half and the Heat had a 14-point lead at the break.
Willie Reed recorded a double-double for the Jazz with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks, while shooting 5-for-11 from the field in 24 minutes.
He received most of the minutes at the center position due to Utah resting Tony Bradley.

Jazz second round draft pick Miye Oni chipped in 11 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists in 22 minutes. All of his field goals came from the three point line, connecting on 3-of-5.
George King made his Jazz Summer League debut while getting the start, he had 11 points and 2 rebounds in 23 minutes.
Second round selection Justin Wright-Foreman contributed 7 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists.
The Jazz trailed most of the game and couldn’t get over the hump once they improved their shooting in the second half. They shot 43 percent from the field.
Kendrick Nunn scored 22 points and dished out 8 assists to lead the Heat, Duncan Robinson notched a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds and Tyler Herro added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
The Jazz dropped to 1-1 in NBA Summer League action in Las Vegas. They will face the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday at 4 p.m. on ESPN2.
