Former BYU Outside Hitter Roni Jones-Perry Named To U.S. Pan American Cup Training Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Former BYU women’s volleyball outside hitter Roni Jones-Perry will be a member of the United States Women’s Pan American Cup Training Team as they will host Canada for two matches this weekend.
The first game will take place on June 14 at Tustin High School in Tustin, California. The second match will be on June 15 at Murrieta Mesa High School in Murrieta, California.
After her college career, Jones-Perry signed a professional contract with Volley Millenium Brescia in Italy after a fantastic career at BYU, where she was a two-time All-American and National Player of the Year finalist in 2018.

Jones-Perry is the fourth player from last seasons’ BYU Final Four team to represent the United States this summer, joining Heather Gneiting and Kennedy Eschenberg with the U.S. Collegiate National Team and Mary Lake with the U.S. Senior National Team in the Volleyball Nations League.
BYU head coach Heather Olmstead is the head coach for the U.S. Collegiate National Team with the Japan squad.
The Pan American Cup will take place from July 4-15 in Lima, Peru. The United States has won the even the past two years.
