SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz big man Derrick Favors participated in a game show trivia segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Friday night.
Teamed up with former Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat star Chris Bosh, Favors represented his alma mater, Georgia Tech, against the UCLA team comprised of New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday and Chicago Bulls guard Zach Lavine.
Bosh was impressive at times during the College Knowledge trivia game and carried the Yellowjackets to the victory over the Bruins. Favors, known for being soft-spoken by nature didn’t buzz in with an answer once, something that Kimmel poked fun at the Jazzman for.
While he may not have shown great trivia chops, Favors has been a major part of the Jazz’s recent success on the hardwood. Sharing time in the frontcourt with Rudy Gobert, Favors averaged 11.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game last year to help Utah to a 50-win season.
Favors has spent nearly his entire NBA career with the Jazz after being traded to Utah from the New Jersey Nets in a deal that involved Deron Williams in 2011 while Favors was a rookie. This offseason, the Jazz are expected to make a difficult decision regarding Favors as the team holds a team option on his contract for next season.
