HARRISON, N.J. – After keeping the New York Red Bulls scoreless through 57 minutes, Real Salt Lake dug themselves a deep hole in just one minute.
RSL defender Marcelo Silva was on the wrong end of a cross by the Red Bulls when Silva tried to clear but slipped and the ball went behind him and in the back of the net past Nick Rimando.
The last time that RSL committed an own goal was in the season opener on the road against Dallas in 2018.
