Saucedo Scores In Second-Straight Game To Put RSL Up 1-0

SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake’s Bofo Saucedo is red hot. After scoring on a screamer last week against Toronto FC, the RSL midfielder found the back of the net again to open the scoring against Atlanta United.
Last week, Saucedo’s shot on goal came from way outside the box. On Friday night, he was still outside the box, albeit a bit closer to the frame when he unleased another hard shot on goal.
Atlanta goalkeeper Brad Guzan didn’t have a chance as the ball found its way to paydirt.

It was Saucedo’s second goal of the second in just his fifth start.
RSL head coach Mike Petke and Saucedo had a genuinely sweet moment last week when the two embraced after Saucedo’s goal. Petke stated how proud he was of Saucedo for taking advantage of the opportunity to start then, but said he would have to continue to prove himself to remain in the Starting XI.
With this second goal in his second consecutive start, one would think that Saucedo is proving himself to be a valuable starter.
