SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake has won their last two games and have been putting on a show offensively as they have scored six goals in the two matches in their 3-2 win over Colorado and their 3-0 victory over Toronto.
Albert Rusnak, Corey Baird and Sam Johnson all found the back of the net against the Rapids, while Damir Kreilach, Sebastian Saucedo and Jefferson Savarino scored in the win over Toronto FC.
On The RSL Lion’s Den with Tom Hackett and Spencer Warne, they discussed the win, the impact of Saucedo and the United States Men’s National Team preliminary roster for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Bofo The Next Striker?
Saucedo started in place of Sam Johnson, who was scratched from the starting lineup for being 20 minutes late for the team’s pregame meeting. He rewarded Mike Petke for giving him the start against Toronto by scoring a goal in the 28th minute.
“It is Bofo’s [Saucedo] job to lose,” Warne said. “I think he has done everthing that Mike Petke has asked him to do this off-season.”
Saucedo’s goal on Saturday was the first of the season for Real Salt Lake. He scored three goals last season.
