ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Desert Hills Thunder defeated the Dixie Flyers 16-3 to claim the 4A state baseball championship.
In the run-rule shortened game, the Thunder were led by Drew Thorpe, who had three hits and five RBIs to lead his team to the title.
It was a rematch of last season’s 1-0 victory by Dixie in the state championship. This time around, there would be no nail-biting or white knuckles as the Thunder blew away the Flyers to get their revenge.
Best. Tradition.
Best. Coach.
