PROVO, Utah – BYU volleyball senior Mary Lake will join the active roster for the USA National Team for the opening week of the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
The Volleyball Nations League is 16-country league that culminates in a tournament in China in July with a $1 million prize for the champion. Each team has a 25 player roster of which they can activate 14 each week. Lake will be on the American active roster for the start of league play.
“We’re thrilled for Mary and this opportunity,” BYU head coach Heather Olmstead said. “She’s been an incredible player and exceptional teammate in Provo and she has the chance to do the same for the National Team. We’re very excited to cheer her and the team on next week when they start play in the Volleyball National League.”
