Three Cougars Named To Softball All-Region Teams

PROVO, Utah – The BYU softball team had three players named to All-Pacific Region teams by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
Arissa Paulson and Rylee Jensen were named to the first team, while Lexi Tarrow was listed as a third team selection.
Paulson was honored as the West Coast Conference’s Pitcher of the Year this season, while hurling 153.1 innings with 114 strikeouts on her way to racking up a 15-9 record.
NFCA has named Rylee Jensen and Arissa Paulson to the All-Pacific Region first team!

This award is given to 13 players in the Pacific region and is based off of entire season stats.

Jensen was a dominant player at the plate for BYU in 2019. She led the team in batting average, runs, hits, doubles, slugging percentage and home runs. She also had a four-game stretch in which she hit an incredible .900 at the plate.
Tarrow was also terrific for BYU this season and was named the conference’s Player of the Year. She led the conference in batting average during league play this season.
The Cougars will begin their NCAA Tournament run Thursday night as they face No. 13-ranked Oklahoma State in the Stillwater Regionals. The game will begin at 6:30 p.m. and be broadcast on ESPN3.
