Former Ute Gymnast Plays Major Role On Game Of Thrones

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – As it turns out, a former University of Utah gymnast was the person responsible for one of the most memorable moments in television history.
In last week’s episode of Game of Thrones, HBO’s epic medieval fantasy series, shockwaves were sent around the fictional world of Westeros when Arya Stark, played by Maisie Williams, defeated the Night King by stabbing him in the chest.

However, it wasn’t Williams who was on camera for the series-defining moment, but rather her stunt-double, former Red Rocks gymnast Kristina Baskett, who competed for Utah from 2006-09 and earned All-American honors numerous times.
Since graduating from Utah, Baskett has enjoyed a successful career in Hollywood and abroad as a stunt double. According to her IMDb page, her credits include movies like Divergent and Ender’s Game in addition to her work with Game of Thrones.
