SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – In his second straight game in the starting lineup for the Utah Jazz in their first round playoff series against the Houston Rockets, Jazz forward Jae Crowder was red hot from the start.

Crowder scored all nine of Utah’s points to start the game, capping off his strong start with a breakaway slam dunk after stealing the ball from Houston’s Chris Paul.

Donovan Mitchell added to Crowder’s total with putback layup before Crowder hit a 3-pointer on the next possession, giving him 12 of Utah’s first 14 points in the game.

Crowder’s 3-pointer gave Utah a 14-9 lead with 7:39 to go in the first quarter.

Getting off to a strong start in Games 3 and 4 was a point of emphasis for the Jazz after returning home following losses in Houston in Games 1 and 2.

The Jazz got off to a good start in Game 3 before ultimately fading down the stretch in a 104-101 loss.

Game 4 between Utah and Houston is being broadcast on TNT. Houston leads the series 3-0.
