Signed by Phoenix on March 22, Wednesday’s game against Utah was Fredette’s fourth appearance of the season and the second against the Jazz.
Prior to facing the Jazz on their home floor, Suns head coach Igor Kokoskov promised that Fredette, who won multiple player of the years honors in 2011 with BYU, would play and would play a lot.
“We are just getting him [Fredette] ready for Utah,” he said. “It’s just a warm up. He has tomorrow [Tuesday] to work on his game so Quin Snyder better be ready. Jimmer is coming. And I am serious, he is going to play more.”

It helped that Suns shooting guard Devin Booker was forced out of the game early due to an ankle injury, but Kokoskov made good on his promise.
Despite the solid game by Fredette, the Suns lost 118-97 to the Jazz and fell to 18-61 on the season.
