Poeltl Plays With Big-Time Sunburn, Gets 5 Blocks

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – While his team is playing quite poorly, former Ute and current Los Angeles Laker Kyle Kuzma has been a brightspot.
Jakob Poeltl had a serious sunburn, but still put up a career-high five blocks in a big win over the Knicks.
Former Utah star and national college player of the year Andrew Bogut returned to the NBA from Australia and helped the Warriors pick up some big wins.
Here’s how the locals did during Week 22 of the NBA season from Wednesday, March 13 to Tuesday, March 19:
Former Utes
Kyle Kuzma – Los Angeles Lakers (31-40)
The Lakers are struggling, they have lost four straight games.
Kyle Kuzma had 7 points and 8 rebounds in their loss to the Raptors.
He posted 12 points, 6 rebounds and a career-high 10 assists in the Lakers’ loss to the Pistons.
In their loss to the Knicks, Kuzma recorded 18 points and 8 assists.
He finished the week with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists, as the Lakers lost to the Bucks.
This season, Kuzma is averaging 18.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

Jakob Poeltl – San Antonio Spurs (42-29)
The Spurs have won nine straight games. Jakob Poeltl started in all three games this week.
Poeltl recorded 12 points, 9 rebounds and tied his career-high with 5 blocks in their win over the Knicks.
He had 8 points, 6 rebounds and another 5 blocks in their win over Portland.

The former Ute had 6 points and 7 rebounds in 25 minutes of play in the Spurs’ win over the Warriors.
This season, Poeltl is averaging 5.5 points and 5.3 rebounds this season.

Delon Wright – Memphis Grizzlies (28-42)
Memphis lost both of their games this week.
Delon Wright started the week with 10 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals in the Grizzlies’ loss to the Hawks.
He recorded 5 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists and 1 steal in 24 minutes of play in their loss to the Wizards.

Andrew Bogut – Golden State Warriors (48-22)
Bogut made his return to the defending champions against the San Antonio Spurs. He had 7 points, 7 rebounds and 1 steal in 19 minutes.
The former Ute posted 2 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in the Warriors win over the Timberwolves.

He recorded 34 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in their 5-point loss to the Spurs.

Lillard posted 30 points, 2 rebounds, a season-high 15 assists and 3 steals in their win over the Pacers.
The former Wildcat is averaging 26.3 points, 6.7 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game this season.

Frank Jackson – New Orleans Pelicans (31-42)
Former Lone Peak star Frank Jackson started all three games for the Pelicans.

He scored 19 points to go with his 2 rebounds and 4 assists in their win over the Mavericks.
The former Duke Blue Devil is averaging 7.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game this season.
