Mitchell Named Player Of The Week For Second Time This Season

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell has been honored as the Western Conference Player of the Week.
The honor is the second of Mitchell’s career and comes after the second-year star led his team to some impressive victories over the last week.
In wins over the LA Clippers, Denver Nuggets and Milwaukee Bucks, Mitchell averaged 34 points per game on 46.6 shooting from the field while knocking down 44.4 percent of his tries from 3-point territory.
In three games last week, Mitchell averaged 34.0 points on 46.6 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from three-point range.
He also averaged 5 rebounds and 5 assists, helping the Jazz to a 3-0 record with wins over the Clippers, Nuggets and Bucks. pic.twitter.com/EUo2fALebT

Mitchell’s game against the Bucks, the top team in the Eastern Conference, was especially impressive. He took his team from a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter to a miraculous 115-111 victory. Mitchell turned in a career-high 46 points with 19 points in the final period.
Philadelphia’s Ben Simmons was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
The Jazz will look their 4-game winning streak against the New Orleans Pelicans Monday night at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on AT&T SportsNet.
