Mitchell To Play In 2019 Rising Stars Game At All-Star Weekend

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – While he won’t be participating in the Slam Dunk Contest, Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell will be going to All-Star Weekend anyways.
It was announced that the second-year guard has been selected for play in the Rising Stars Challenge for the second straight year.

The game pits some of the game’s best first and second year players against each other on teams representing the USA and the rest of the world.
Mitchell has been on fire lately, averaging 28.1 points per game in the month of January. He played in the Rising Stars game last season, where he dished out seven assisted and scored seven points.

Mitchell will suit up for Team USA in the Rising Stars game in Charlotte, N.C. on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on TNT.
