Wildcats Fall To Montana In Wire-To-Wire Loss

MISSOULA, Mont. – The Weber State Wildcats suffered a wire to wire loss to the class of the Big Sky Conference in a 75-68 defeat to Montana.
The loss snapped a four game winning streak for the Wildcats.
Wildcats rally back but fall short.

Montana opened the game with a 8-0 run and didn’t allow a Weber State basket until Jerrick Harding converted a layup with 15:53 remaining in the first half.
Weber State got the score within two at 12-10 but the Grizzlies reeled off a major run to end the half with a 40-26 lead.

Although the Wildcats played a much improved second half, outscoring Montana 42-35 in the final 20 minutes, they were never able to overtake the Grizzlies and lost their second conference game of the season.
Jamar Akoh led Montana with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Harding paced Weber State with 22 points while Cody John added 14.
The Wildcats will return home to host Portland State Thursday at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Pluto TV.
