SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Delon Wright made his first start of the 2018-19 season and just his sixth start of his career for the Toronto Raptors.

Kyle Kuzma had another great week for the Lakers that includes a double-double to end the week.

Here’s how the locals did in their ninth week of the NBA season from December 12 to December 18:

Former Utes

Kyle Kuzma – Los Angeles Lakers (18-13)

The Lakers went 1-3 during the week but Kuzma played well for Los Angeles. He started the ninth week with 24 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block and 2 steals in the Lakers loss to the Rockets. Kuzma had 14 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in their only win of the week against Charlotte.

He dropped 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in their 18-point defeat to the Wizards and ended the week with a double-double, 22 points and 11 boards in the Lakers five point loss to Brooklyn.

NEXT UP: The Lakers have three games during week ten, starting at home against New Orleans and Memphis before traveling to Golden State on Christmas Day.

Jakob Poeltl – San Antonio Spurs (16-15)

The former Ute played 21 minutes in two of the three games during week nine and 16 minutes in the other contest. Poeltl started the week with three points, six rebounds and four blocks in the Spurs 38 point win over the Clippers. He scored five points and pulled down four rebounds in the loss to the Bulls and ended the week with eight points and five rebounds in the Spurs win over the 76ers.

NEXT UP: The Spurs will play three games during week ten, starting in Orlando before hosting Minnesota and ending the week in Houston.

Delon Wright – Toronto Raptors (23-9)

He ended the week with his first start of the season and sixth of his career, filling in for the injured Kyle Lowry. Wright had 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in 38 minutes in their loss to the Nuggets.

NEXT UP: Toronto’s three games in week ten will start at home against Indiana and Cleveland before traveling to Philadelphia for their last game of the week.
