Delon Wright Makes First Start Of Season For Raptors

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Delon Wright made his first start of the 2018-19 season and just his sixth start of his career for the Toronto Raptors.
Kyle Kuzma had another great week for the Lakers that includes a double-double to end the week.
Here’s how the locals did in their ninth week of the NBA season from December 12 to December 18:
Former Utes
Kyle Kuzma – Los Angeles Lakers (18-13)
The Lakers went 1-3 during the week but Kuzma played well for Los Angeles. He started the ninth week with 24 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block and 2 steals in the Lakers loss to the Rockets. Kuzma had 14 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in their only win of the week against Charlotte.
He dropped 20 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in their 18-point defeat to the Wizards and ended the week with a double-double, 22 points and 11 boards in the Lakers five point loss to Brooklyn.
NEXT UP: The Lakers have three games during week ten, starting at home against New Orleans and Memphis before traveling to Golden State on Christmas Day.

Jakob Poeltl – San Antonio Spurs (16-15)
The former Ute played 21 minutes in two of the three games during week nine and 16 minutes in the other contest. Poeltl started the week with three points, six rebounds and four blocks in the Spurs 38 point win over the Clippers. He scored five points and pulled down four rebounds in the loss to the Bulls and ended the week with eight points and five rebounds in the Spurs win over the 76ers.
NEXT UP: The Spurs will play three games during week ten, starting in Orlando before hosting Minnesota and ending the week in Houston.

Delon Wright – Toronto Raptors (23-9)
The Raptors won just one game in their last three contests but Delon had a good week for Toronto. He scored six points and collected 5 rebounds in their 10-point win over the Warriors. Wright dished out 5 assists to go with just two points in Toronto’s loss to Portland.
He ended the week with his first start of the season and sixth of his career, filling in for the injured Kyle Lowry. Wright had 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in 38 minutes in their loss to the Nuggets.
NEXT UP: Toronto’s three games in week ten will start at home against Indiana and Cleveland before traveling to Philadelphia for their last game of the week.

Former Wildcats
Damian Lillard – Portland Trail Blazers (17-13)
Another 2-1 week for the Trail Blazers and another big week for Damian Lillard. He scored just 14 points on 4-of-18 shooting but pulled down 7 rebounds in their nine-point loss to the Grizzlies. Lillard bounced back in their six point win over Toronto with 24 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field. He ended the week with 39 points and six assists, including 6-of-7 from the three-point-line in the Blazers four point win on the road against the Clippers.
NEXT UP: Portland will be at home against Memphis, Utah and Dallas before wrapping up the week in Utah on Christmas Day.
