Utah State Aggies National Signing Day Commitments

LOGAN, Utah – The Utah State Aggies announced their signing class for the early signing period on National Letter of Intent Day.
Gary Andersen has put an emphasis on the interior on both sides of the ball, signing three offensive lineman and two defensive lineman.
Utah State also stocked up on linebackers, signing four linebackers to the roster.
The Aggies also signed a quarterback, a wide receiver, a kicker/punter and one safety.
Here are the 2019 signees from National Signing Day:
Ashton Adams, Offensive Lineman
The three-star recruit is a 6’4, 300 lbs. lineman from South Salem High School in Salem, Oregon.
Adams earned 6A first-team all-Mid Valley and all-Mountain Valley honors from the Statesman Journal. He helped pave the way for 11 different rushers rack up 940 yards during his senior season.
Adams is rated as the 10th best recruit in Oregon by 247Sports.

Aaron Bredsguard, Defensive Lineman
Bredsguard is a three-star defensive lineman from Viewmont High School in Bountiful, Utah. The 6’3, 225 lbs. pass rusher recorded 59 tackles, including 11 sacks and three interceptions during his senior season.
In the first round of the playoffs against Corner Canyon, Bredsguard had a season-high 11 tackles.

Pierce Callister, Kicker/Punter
Another local product, Callister coming from Weber High School in Ogden, Utah. He earned 6A second team all-state honors from the Deseret News as a punter. Callister averaged 37.9 yards per punt and pinned 11 punts inside the 20-yard line.
Callister had 52 kickoffs where he averaged 53.9 yards per kickoff and was 7-of-16 on field goals and 17-of-12 on extra points.
He will be a preferred walk-on for Utah State.

Josh Calvin, Quarterback
The three-star quarterback comes to Logan from Bellflower, California and Mayfair High School. The 6’3, 190 lbs. quarterback was named first team all-Suburban League as a senior. He completed 53 percent of his passes for 2,010 yards and 23 touchdowns with just 5 interceptions.

Aric Davison, Offensive Lineman
Davison is a three-star prospect from Richland High School in Richland, Washington. The 6’3, 305 lbs. lineman was a four-year starter and led the Bombers to the playoffs his first three seasons.
After his junior season, Davison was selected to the Tri-City Herald All-Area first team and second team all-conference honoree as a defensive lineman.

Keith Harris, Safety
The 5’11, 170 lbs. defensive back joins Utah State from Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, California. Harris earned Interscholastic Federation (CIF) first-team all-Bay League honors as cornerback during his senior season.

Cam Lampkin, Wide Receiver
Lampkin is a three-star prospect from Poteet High School in Mesquite, Texas where he earned Texas 5A-1 Region II First-Team All-District 7 honors. His senior season, he caught 26 passes for 608 yards and six touchdowns. He is 5’11, 165 lbs.

Christian LaValle, Linebacker
LaValle is a three-star linebacker from Mission Viejo High School in Mission Viejo, California. The 6’0, 230 lbs. backer earned California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) first-team all-state honors after his senior season.
He recorded 98 tackles, one sack and 9 tackles-for-loss while collecting an interception in 2017.

Dean Rice, Defensive Lineman
Rice is a two-star prospect from River Valley High School in Yuba Valley, California. The 6’4, 280 lbs. pass rusher played on the defensive line and tight end in high school.
During his senior campaign, Rice racked up 19 tackles, two for a loss and a fumble recovery.

Simon Thompson, Linebacker
The West Salem High School product from Salem, Oregon is a three-star athlete that played quarterback in high school.
He earned 6A first-team all-Mid Valley honors from the Statesman Journal as a quarterback. Thompson was named Mountain Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Year after throwing for 2,403 yards and 30 touchdowns.
The 6’2, 210 recruit also earned first-team all-conference honors at safety during his senior season as he recorded 54 tackles, including 29 solo take-downs, one interception and one forced fumble.

Jesse James Vasquez, Long Snapper
The 6’1, 225 lbs. long snapper is from Oaks Christian High School in Thousand Oaks, California.
He lettered for three seasons in high school and was ranked 17th by the Kornblue Snapping Fab 50. Vasquez received an invitation to participate in the 2018 Blue-Grey All American Bowl, the Hawaii Tiki Bowl and the National Underclassmen Committee All-American Game.

Jaymason Willingham, Linebacker
The three-star linebacker from Steilacoom High School in Lacey, Washington joins Utah State after a senior season where Willingham won first-team All-Area honors by the News Tribune.
He is 6’3, 215 lbs. During his senior season, he was named The Seattle Times’ all-state football team and was award South Puget Sound League 2A Defensive MVP where he recorded 124 tackles, 15 sacks, 22 tackles-for-loss and two forced fumbles.

The three-star local product heads north to Logan from East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is 6’4, 290 lbs. lineman earned 6A honorable mention all-state honors from the Deseret News.

Sione Moa, Linebacker
The two-star linebacker is another local product from the state of Utah. He joins the Aggies from Weber High School in North Ogden, Utah.
Moa earned 6A first-team all-Region 1 honors as a wide receiver and outside linebacker. During his senior season, he had 58 tackles and 6 sacks.
