It’s the highest seed the program has ever gotten in seven playoff appearances and the first time that the Wildcats will have a bye in the postseason. The Wildcats are currently experiencing a golden age in the program’s history. This year, they’ve gone 9-2 with a 7-1 record in the Big Sky that included six straight victories.
“We are super excited to get back to the playoffs for the third-straight year and we hope we get better and better each time we go,” said WSU head coach Jay Hill in a statement by the athletic department. “It’s a huge deal to get the two seed and have home field advantage throughout the playoffs, now we just have to take care of business.”
Weber State will face the winner of Stony Brook and Southeast Missouri State at home on Dec. 1st. The game time will be announced soon.
