UTAH STATE AGGIES
Utah State Wins Home Opener Against Hartford 100-71

LOGAN, Utah – The Utah State Aggies played their first of four games of the MGM Main Event with a win over Hartford.
Senior forward Dwayne Brown Jr. tied his career high with 24 points and added six rebounds.
Sam Merrill and Tauriawn Knight added 14 points apiece.
Utah State scored 100 points or more in their first two games of the season. It’s the first time in school history that the Aggies have done so.
Aggies head coach Craig Smith hopes that his team can continue to play this style of basketball.
“From the get-go, our guys have really bought in and worked incredibly hard. We have to be more sound, certainly with some things, but our guys worked hard and played unselfish. It’s an exciting brand of basketball. Hopefully, we can keep winning with it,” Smith added.
It’s the 25th straight season that the Aggies have won their home opener. Going all the way back to 1993-94.
Utah State will face Mississippi Valley State on Tuesday at the Spectrum in Logan. The game will begin at 7 p.m. on the Stadium app.
