PROVO, Utah – The Timpview Thunderbirds rolled out to a 28-0 lead and never looked back on the way to a 51-22 victory over rival Provo.
The Rundown
A pair of Sione Moa touchdown runs were bookended by scores by Ammon AhQuin as the Thunderbirds built a large lead on the Bulldogs. It wasn’t until the 8:27 mark of the third quarter that Provo found the scoreboard at home, scoring on a 95-yard kick return by Ben Myles-Mills. He scored another TD on a 35-yard run on the Bulldogs’ next possession, but Moa found the end zone for the third time in the game to put the game out of reach.
By The Numbers
Although he didn’t find the end zone in the win, Timpview’s Targhee Lamson was the game’s leading rusher with 133 yards on 17 carries.
Fanga Pulu had an impressive game at wide receiver, hauling in six passes for 132 yards.

Following a bye week, Provo will travel to face Skyridge on September 21. Timpview, who also has a bye, will take on Corner Canyon on that date as well.
