Despite a more competitive effort on both ends of the floor, Utah falls to No. 3 Iowa State, 82-59.
Gabe Madsen snapped out of his funk with 20 points but it took him 7-of-19 shooting to get there. Miro Little with 13 points, was the only other player in double-figures for Utah.
In each of the last two contests, the Utes failed to compete in both 20-minute periods. Tonight, the Utes got a better overall effort but were plagued by turnovers.
Iowa State’s defensive pressure created a lot of those turnovers, and the Cyclones scored 25 points off of 18 Utah turnovers.
