Video: Former Utah Athletics Stars Pay It Forward To Ute Tribe

Jul 12, 2023, 12:40 PM

Former Utah kicker and Athletes For Life founder Hank Mondaca rallied several other former Utah Athletics stars to put on a football camp for the kids who live on the Ute Reservation in Roosevelt, Utah. Mondaca’s efforts not only helped instill more confidence and opportunities for the native kids in the area, but also helped to begin bridging gaps between the local high school team at Union, as well as better connect the tribe to the University of Utah who uses the tribe’s name as their mascot. Senior Ute Tribe member Forrest Kuch was in attendance and expresses his hope that this camp is the beginning of even stronger relationships between the Utes, Union High School, and the University of Utah.
