Playoff Quarterfinals: 6A Utah High School Football Recap

SALT LAKE CITY — The No. 6 Lone Peak Knights upset the No. 3 Davis Darts on the road, 41-38, in the 6A high school football quarterfinals on Friday.
The match saw nothing but haymakers from both sides from kick-off to the final whistle. Almost every drive saw a punch and then a quick response from the other side. At the end of regulation, the game was tied at 31-31.
Just like the previous 48 minutes of playoff action, overtime started with a touchdown from each side to put the score at 38-38. The Knights took care of business on the final drive, nailing a 38-yard field goal for the win.
No. 6 Lone Peak will face No. 2 Skyridge in the 6A semifinals at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Friday, November 14 at 2:30 PM.

Quarterfinals Recap For 6A Utah High School Football Playoffs
No. 8 Syracuse Titans 14 @ No. 1 Corner Canyon Chargers 56
The Corner Canyon Chargers left no doubt as they blew out the Syracuse Titans to advance to the semifinals at Rice-Eccles. The Chargers scored 21 points in each of the first two quarters, led by quarterback Helaman Casuga, who finished with five total touchdowns.
Wide receiver Isaiah Morris also had himself a game, catching two touchdowns and throwing for a third on a trick play after halftime.
The Corner Canyon defense held Syracuse scoreless in three of the four quarters on Friday.
No. 1 Corner Canyon will face No. 4 Mountain Ridge in the 6A semifinals at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Friday, November 14 at 11:00 AM.
No. 7 American Fork Cavemen 29 @ No. 2 Skyridge Falcons 56
The Skyridge Falcons came to play in the quarterfinals, surpassing 50 points in a win over the American Fork Cavemen.
The Falcons’ offense came out of the gates strong, but really, the effort was seen everywhere. At the end of the first quarter, Briggs Parker returned a punt 69 yards to the house.
Skyridge would score double-digit points in each of the first three quarters. American Fork scored 23 points in the second and third quarters, but they simply couldn’t keep up with the opposing attack.
Falcons quarterback Kaneal Sweetwyne threw four touchdowns and added a fifth with his legs.
