SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Hockey Club ended its home woes with a dominant defensive performance against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday.
It was the offense that really got Utah going in Delta Center. Led by Clayton Keller, the Hockey Club ripped off three unanswered goals in the first period. Keller scored or assisted on all three.
The second and third periods were a different story. St. Louis turned up the defensive intensity and Utah was only able to break through one more time. However, Utah did the exact same thing and did it even better.
Utah will end its seven-game homestand against the Winnipeg Jets on Monday, January 20.

O’Brien just dropped the gloves with Tyler Tucker.
Both guys landed some big blows before the refs shut it down. O’Brien’s forehead started bleeding.
He headed back to locker room to have that treated.
5 minutes for both guys.

Two incredible passes here.
First from Marino all the way to Keller and then the captain threaded the needle to Schmaltz for an easy one. https://t.co/y9ErP5dJfh

Domination from Utah in the first period despite allowing the first goal. Since O’Brien dropped the gloves with Tucker, Utah scored 3 unanswered on 17 first period shots.
Sometimes fights can be a turning point. Great energy from Tuna.

What a glove save from Ingram. That puck should’ve ended up in the back of the net.

He argued for a while before finally taking a seat in the box. Can’t blame him either. Fairly soft call.

What a play by Marino.
Net was completely open as Ingram was on the ground and he threw himself in front to stop a would-be goal.
