Utah QB Cam Rising Exits Rose Bowl Game After Big Sack By Ohio State

PASADENA, Calif. – Utah quarterback Cam Rising exited the Rose Bowl Game against Ohio State after his helmet hit the ground following a sack.
The No. 11 Utes played the No. 6 Buckeyes at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on Saturday, January 1.
With 9:56 left in the fourth quarter, Rising was sacked by Ohio State’s Kourt Williams II for a loss of 14 yards to the Utah 20-yard line.
Cam Rising was able to walk off with trainers after this hit.

Rising’s helmet bounced on the turf as he was tackled. The Ventura, California native remained on the ground for a few minutes as medical personnel attended to the quarterback.
Rising was able to walk to the sideline under his own power. He went into the medical tent for more evaluation.

Before exiting the game, Rising was 17/22 passing for 214 yards and two touchdowns. He added 11 carries for 85 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Rising entered the game having thrown for 2,279 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions this season.
