Utah LB Devin Lloyd Tips Ball, Dives For Interception Against Washington State

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utes linebacker Devin Lloyd tipped a pass to himself and dove for an interception during Utah’s game against the Washington State Cougars.
The Utes hosted the Cougars at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, September 25.
With 6:28 remaining in the third quarter, Washington State quarterback Jarrett Guarantano attempted a pass to the far side of the field before Lloyd made contact with the ball and popped it to himself.
The linebacker dove to the ground and intercepted the ball.

Lloyd’s pick gave Utah possession inside the red zone at the Washington State 19-yard line.
It was Lloyd’s second pick of the 2021 season.

Unfortunately for the Utes, Ja’Quinden Jackson fumbled the ball only two plays later. The Cougars recovered the football for a turnover.
At the time of Lloyd’s pick, Utah trailed Washington State, 13-10.
Utah’s game against Washington State is broadcast on the Pac-12 Network and 700 AM.
