TV, Kick Times Announced For Utah Football

SALT LAKE CITY- We are 100 days out from the 2022 football season starting and that means kickoff times and TV channels for games are slowly being revealed. This afternoon ESPN and Fox revealed their broadcasting schedules for the first month of the season and Utah’s path for what could be a big season just got a little clearer.

The Utes will be starting their 2022 season with a bang visiting the Florida Gators in the Swamp on September 3. Utah will then be home to play Southern Utah on September 10, and San Diego State on September 17. For the full 2022 Utah football schedule click here.

First Month Of Times And Channels For Utah
Utah’s much anticipated game in SEC country will kickoff at 5 pm MT and be broadcast on ESPN. The game will be brutal from a heat and humidity standpoint for Utah, but there is something to be said for a primetime spot that gets you lots of eyeballs to start your season.

The Utes’ home opener against SUU will kickoff at 11:30 am MT and can be found on the Pac-12 Networks. Taking on the Thunderbirds at home should be a nice break from such an intense opener and allow Utah to rest a bit before turning their attention to what will be a bit of a revenge game the following week.

San Diego State will roll into Rice-Eccles Stadium at 8pm MT and will be televised by ESPN2. Last year, the Utes came up just short in triple-overtime to the Aztecs before they really found their legs for the 2021 football season. It’s hard not to expect Cam Rising and company will have this game circled and having it at night in RES only adds to the intensity.

Looking Ahead
The Utes had one game time announced later in the season in Thursday’s big TV reveal. On Thursday, October 27, Utah will be in Pullman, Washington taking on the Washington State Cougars. The game will take place at 8 pm MT on FS1.
