Here Is Everything Happening For Utah At The Rose Bowl

SALT LAKE CITY- It’s finally here. Rose Bowl week is upon Utah football and their fans once more. Part of what makes the “Grandaddy of them All” so special is the pomp and ceremony surrounding the entire week leading up to the big game. In order to help you plan your tip, or simply to know when to look for specific information, we’ve done the best we can to compile a list of Rose Bowl events taking place throughout the week.

Team Activities For Utah, Penn State
Team Arrivals, December 26-27, 2022:
Penn State landed in Los Angeles around 7:00 pm MT on December 26th due to the distance they needed to travel to be in California.

Disneyland, December 28, 2022:

Head coach Kyle Whittingham, Cam Rising, RJ Hubert, Devin Kaufusi, and Devaughn Vele will represent the Utes in the Disneyland Parade, while head coach James Franklin, Brenton Strange, Chris Stoll, Jonathan Sutherland and Nick Tarburton will be available for Penn State.
Lawry’s Beef Bowl, December 29-30, 2022:
Utah will get to go first for the Lawry’s Beef Bowl on Thursday, December 29. Falcon Kaumatule will have the honor of leading the Salad Spin and Bryson Barnes gets to do the First Cut. Friday the 30th of December is a “free day” for the Utes while Penn State takes their turn at the Lawry’s Beef Bowl.

Coaches’ Press Conference, January 1, 2023
Both Whittingham and Franklin will be available to speak to the press and give some final thoughts on the week ahead of the big game on Monday.
Fan Activities Through The Week
Rose Bowl Bash, January 1, 2023
The Rose Bowl invites fans to come out to the Rose Bowl for some fan fun ahead of the 109th Rose Bowl game. The event runs from 11:00 am- 5:00 pm PT in Lot K and is free to enter.
Utah Pep Rally At The Bloc, January 1, 2023
The Utes will be holding their own pep rally on the Sunday before the game in downtown Los Angeles at The Bloc on 700 W 7th Street. The event starts at 12:00 pm PT and will feature Swoop, the cheerleaders/dance team, Marching Utes and some of the football players.
The Rose Parade, January 2, 2023
One of the biggest events aside from the game, the Rose Parade is part of what makes the Rose Bowl so iconic. The parade will begin at 8:00 am PT on Monday, January 2 before the game kicks off. Tickets do need to be purchased.
The Utah Alumni Tailgate, January 2, 2023
If you are looking to mix and mingle with fellow Utah alums and fans, the Alumni Tailgate is for you. The event opens at 10:00 am PT and goes till 1:00 pm PT at the Brookside Golf Club. Tickets do need to be purchased for entry.
