How Clark Phillips III Is Mentally Preparing For Big Game Against Oregon

SALT LAKE CITY – It’s been labeled around the conference as the game of the year in the Pac-12. Utah cornerback Clark Phillips III knows how big the matchup with Oregon is.
No. 3 Oregon will come to Rice-Eccles Stadium to battle No. 23 Utah in primetime action in what is likely a preview of the Pac-12 Championship game.
Clark Phillips III talked about that, the win over Arizona and much more on the latest episode of the “Faith, Family and Football” podcast. You can listen to the full interview, below.
Mindset Going Into Oregon Game
Phillips is excited for the challenge that Oregon presents and on a big stage with it being a primetime ABC game.
“I’m excited man, it’s gonna be primetime,” Phillips said on the show. “I feel like more than any other, every single position group is going to have to really prepare and pack a lunch.”
Phillips mentioned that Oregon has dynamic playmakers all over the field on Oregon’s roster, including Kayvon Thibodeaux, Travis Dye, along with their strong receiving corps. and talented secondary.
“They always say they are one of the better secondary’s and of course, I tell my guys that we are better than them,” Phillips said. “We’re gonna prove it. So I’m excited to go against the best. I’m sure they are as well.”
Utah and Oregon will square off on Saturday, November 20 at 5:30 p.m. MT on ABC.
