He returns to a similar role, offensive line assistant, under Harding again. Asiata had to step away this past summer, but his return is a positive development for the program and the offensive line.
Isaac Asiata, Former Utah Great To Coach
Asiata is arguably one of the best offensive linemen to come through the program. A longtime starter on Utah’s offensive line, Asiata won the Pac-12’s Morris Award in 2016, given to the conference’s most outstanding offensive lineman.
He was part of the 2016 graduating offensive line class where four of five – Garett Bolles, Sam Tevi, and JJ Dielman- were selected in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Asiata was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL draft, playing one regular-season game each in 2017 and 2018 before retiring.
