LOGAN, Utah –Β Utah State football is set for National Signing Day with a class that hopes to maintain the momentum of three consecutive bowl appearances.
The incoming class is expected to bolster a strong returning group of 2023 key contributors who have already announced their intention to return in the fall of 2024.

Incoming Prep Players
Tate Kjar | Corner Canyon Chargers
A 5’10, 150-pound receiver, Tate Kjar finished his prep career with a Utah 6A State Championship as a member of the Corner Canyon Chargers. Kjar amassed gaudy numbers in his final two Charger seasons. He caught 215 passes for 3,478 yards and 34 touchdowns combined in his junior and senior seasons.

Camden Jury | Queens Creek High School, AZ
Jury has the size to remain at tackle, as he is listed at 6’6 and 315 pounds after finishing his prep career in Queens Creek, Arizona.

Grayson Brousseau | Lehi Pioneers
A 6’6, 210-pound tight end, Brousseau flashed promise as a junior, collecting 27 catches for 325 yards and two scores. As a senior, he exploded onto the scene with 46 catches, 612 yards, and eight touchdowns.

The 6’1, 210-pound linebacker is rated a two-star recruit by Rivals.com.

EJ Fisk Jr. | East Central Community College
The 5’11, 170-pound safety heads to Utah State after a freshman season at East Central CC. Fisk Jr. finished the year with 36 tackles, two tackles for a loss, and two pass breakups in nine games.

CJ Nesmith | Fullerton Community College
A 6’4, 215-pound linebacker, Nesmith appeared in nine games for Fullerton College in 2023, recording seven tackles.

Ricky Lolahea | Oklahoma State University
A 6’4, 307-pound defensive tackle, Lolohea will add good size to the Aggies interior defensive line. Originally from Euless, Texas, Lolohea left the Cowboys program midseason without appearing in a game.

Macyo Williams | Kent State University
A 6’3, 275-pound defensive lineman, Williams played his prep football at St. Vincent-St Mary’s in Akron, Ohio, the alma mater of NBA star LeBron James. Williams recorded 18 tackles and 1.5 sacks for Kent State in 2023.

Jared Pele | Navarro College
Listed at 6’5 and 300 pounds, Pele did not record any stats in the lone game he played for Navarro College last season. In 2022, Pele finished with four tackles in three games played for New Mexico Military Institute.

Jadon Pearson | University of Utah
A 6’3, 200-pound safety from Gilbert, Arizona, Pearson appeared in 17 games for the Utes the past two seasons. He had a career-high three tackles at Colorado in November 2022.

Spencer Petras | University of Iowa
The 6’5 Petras heads to Logan as a graduate senior with 31 Big Ten starts on his resume. As a junior, Petras completed 55.9 percent of his passes while starting 12 games for the Hawkeyes. He finished the year with 1,725 yards, five touchdowns, and five interceptions.
Petras missed the 2023 season after shoulder surgery in December 2022.

Robert Freeman | American River Community College
A 5’8, 155-pound wide receiver, Freeman played in 11 games for American River CC in 2023. He finished with 484 yards and four touchdowns on 35 grabs.

Marlin Dean | Butler Community College
At 6’6 and 245-pounds, the former Georgia Bulldog spent one season at Butler CC after leaving Georgia in the summer of 2022. The No. 2 junior college defensive end, Dean recorded 25 tackles and 7.5 sacks for Butler in 2023.

Terrell Taylor | Golden West College
The 6’0, 195-pound safety will have two seasons of eligibility remaining with Utah State. Taylor recorded 19 tackles and one pass breakup for Golden West College in 2023.

Will Shaffer | Arizona State Sun Devils
Listed at 6’0 and 235-pounds, the redshirt junior linebacker appeared in 28 games for ASU over three seasons. Shaffer recorded 16 tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss as a Sun Devil.

George Maile | Baylor University
The 6’3, 305-pound offensive tackle received limited playing time in two seasons with the Baylor Bears. Maile played his prep football for Bingham High School and will join his brother Bo, a sophomore defensive tackle for Utah State.

Mason Edwards | Hutchinson Community College
The 6’2, 171-pound defensive back is set to join Utah State after two seasons with Hutchinson CC. Edwards collected 14 tackles and four pass breakups in 11 games for the Blue Dragons.
