Davis also looked to transfer following the conclusion of the 2023 season.
After about a week in the portal, the Texas native decided it was in his best interest to stay with the Cougars.
In 2024, Davis started in one game and took 18 carries for 76 yards. He also had five receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown.
In five seasons with BYU, Davis posted just under 600 total scrimmage yards on over 100 receptions and carries.

Back in 2020 before his first season, Davis looked to play either defensive back or wide receiver. He transitioned to the backfield and immediately found success.
In his freshman season, he recorded nearly 150 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns. In 2o22, he had a career year with over 250 yards.
In his best seasons, Davis proved to be a quality receiving back. Ultimately, with limited opportunity, Davis decided to take his talents to USU Football.
Last year, the Aggies top running back Rahsul Faison had over 1000 yards on the ground and also grabbed 22 receptions. Faison will return in 2025 and the two will likely compete for touches in the backfield.
Davis will join another former BYU Cougar in Logan, former head coach Bronco Mendenhall.
