PROVO, Utah – ESPN’s Lee Corso is a fixture of College GameDay. Every week, Corso throws on a mascot head to make his pick for the game of the week. So it was only fitting that the beloved BYU mascot Cosmo found a way to make a quick trip across the country to be part of College GameDay with Corso.
But unlike the BYU football team who traveled to Myrtle Beach to take on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, Cosmo made a trip to Florida. Cosmo was at Lee Corso’s house in the Sunshine State.
Due to the novel COVID-19 pandemic, Corso hasn’t been on the set of College GameDay for the 2020 season. Corso has made his picks and commentary in the backyard of his Lake Mary, Florida home.

During the opening segment of College GameDay, Corso was joined by BYU’s Cosmo, who was also with Coastal Carolina’s mascot, Chauncey the Chanticleer.
We can only hope that we get some dance-off with Cosmo, who’s always willing to make a stunt happen.
Corso will decide who he is picking for BYU and Coastal Carolina at the end of the College GameDay program, airing on ESPN until 10 a.m. (MT). The former Indiana head coach who faced BYU in the 1979 Holiday Bowl as a head coach has been perfect during the 2020 season on his headgear picks, which included an upset pick for Notre Dame over Clemson earlier this year.
Lee Corso has never worn Cosmo’s headgear on a College GameDay broadcast. On Saturday for the Coastal Carolina game, BYU’s appearance is the Cougars’ third appearance as the showcase game of the GameDay broadcast.
