BYU RB Lopini Katoa Spins, Scores Touchdown Against Georgia Southern

SALT LAKE CITY – BYU running back Lopini Katoa spun through Georgia Southern defenders before scoring the Cougars’ first points of the game.
The Eagles hosted the No. 14 Cougars at Allen E. Paulson Stadium in Statesboro, Georgia on Saturday, November 20.
With 3:15 left in the opening quarter, Katoa received a handoff from BYU quarterback Jaren Hall. The junior running back ran up the middle before spinning through multiple would-be tacklers on his way into the end zone.

It was Katoa’s first run of the contest and gave BYU a 7-3 lead.

Georgia Southern opened the game with a long drive that resulted in a field goal.
Katoa entered the game with 55 carries for 225 yards and one touchdown on the ground. He has also recorded eight catches for 19 yards and a touchdown this season.
