BYU wore an iteration of this uniform from 1969-1992. A long and storied history is tied to BYU football with these threads. BYU’s National Championship in 1984, Ty Detmer’s Heisman win in 1990, and other memorable moments were in this uniform.
Back in 2009, BYU brought back these uniforms as a tribute to the 25th anniversary of the 1984 National Championship season. Since the 2009 season, BYU has worn this uniform combination a total of 16 times. In those games, BYU has posted a 7-9 record. Five of those eight losses have come against rival Utah.
Here’s the list of games that BYU has worn the royal blue uniform with the white pants combination.
