PROVO, Utah – It’s back to the grind for BYU football as they look to return to the winning side of things this week. BYU’s next opponent is former conference rival Wyoming this Saturday at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
New week. New look.

To prepare for any game week, the growing tradition on Mondays at BYU is the announcement of which jersey they will wear for the next game. For Wyoming week, BYU is returning to a color synonymous with their time in the Mountain West Conference, navy blue.
BYU will wear a white helmet with navy blue decals, a navy blue uniform, and pants. It’s the first BYU has rolled out this look since the 2020 home game against Texas State.
The all-navy uniform combination hasn’t been worn often. Before the Texas State game in 2020, BYU went all-navy in a 2010 game against New Mexico. That was BYU’s last home game as a member of the Mountain West Conference.
Before that, BYU wore all-navy uniforms every game from 2000-2003 at home. That was when the Cougars had Vegas Tan as an accent color to pair up with the Navy Blue jerseys.
Saturday night’s game will be the 79th meeting all-time between BYU and Wyoming. BYU’s first victory in school history came against the Pokes in 1922. The Cougars have won their last eight meetings against Wyoming, which includes a 2016 Poinsettia Bowl win in Kalani Sitake’s first year as head coach.
Kickoff for BYU versus Wyoming is at 8:15 p.m. on ESPN2 and KSL NewsRadio (102.7 FM, 1160 AM).
