PROVO, Utah –The Big 12 and Arlington, Texas, are gearing up for a big week in the Lone Star State as fans from Lubbock and Provo, Utah, converge for the Big 12 Football Championship.
The Cougars (11-1, 8-1 Big 12) will get a second crack at the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday, December 6. Kickoff is at 10 a.m. MT.

The conference kicks off championship game festivities on Friday night with a Big 12 football-themed light show from Reunion Tower.
On Saturday morning, the Big 12 BLVD. HeluvaGood! Fan Fest is set to open on the East Plaza at AT&T Stadium at 9 a.m. CT. School-specific themed food and drinks will be available.
All-day festivities are scheduled near the stadium at the Venmo Hall at Sports & Social Arlington at Texas Live! from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. CT. The Block Crowes begin a live concert at Live! Arena stage at 6:30 p.m. CT.

What channel is BYU football on?
The Big 12 Football Championship between BYU and Texas Tech is available on ABC. Joe Tessitore (PxP) and Jesse Palmer (Analyst) will be in the booth, with Kris Budden and Katie George (Sideline) giving updates from the field.
Cougar fans can listen to the game through the KSL Sports app and the KSL NewsRadio app.
Who will perform at halftime of the Big 12 Football Championship?
Jon Pardi, an award-winning country music artist, will be joined by marching bands from BYU and Texas Tech.
Pardi recently released his fifth album, Honkytonk Hollywood.
“I’m so fired up to be part of the Big 12 Football Championship game this year — and to be the first country artist to do it makes it even more fun,” said Pardi. “It’s going to be a good time – we’re going to give fans an unforgettable show.”
Lanie Gardner, who will be touring with Jason Aldean in January, will sing the national anthem before Saturday’s kickoff.
Are bags allowed at AT&T Stadium?
In an effort to improve public security, AT&T Stadium prohibits any bags, purses, backpacks, or containers larger than a small clutch bag. This policy includes computer bags, camera bags, luggage of any kind, seat cushions, coolers, etc.
The only approved bags need to be clear and no larger than 12″x6″x12″.
Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items following a proper inspection at the gate.
