College Gameday Gives BYU/Colorado Predictions For 2024 Alamo Bowl

PROVO, Utah – ESPN’s College Gameday weighed in on the 2024 Alamo Bowl between Big 12 foes BYU and Colorado.
Like most in the football world, the popular college football pregame sees Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders and the Buffs as the favorites.

“Man, shout out to my new Heisman brother, Travis Hunter, winning the Heisman. I think they’re going to take care of BYU,” said Desmond Howard. “So I’m going with Colorado.”
“I am not allowed to pick against Deion, Ms. Terry’s orders. Colorado,” former Alabama head coach Nick Saban said.
Pat McAfee is also picking the Buffs.
“They’ve been a good team to pick because of what Colorado has been able to do towards the end of the year, to go from a team that wins four games to a team that was almost in a Big 12 Championship, and they’re all playing, one last one, together. Give me Colorado,” added McAfee.
The one analyst on the College Gameday set to pick BYU was the former Indiana head coach Lee Corso.
“Not so fast, my friend. BYU’s got a balanced offense, and they upset Colorado,” coach Lee Corso said.
Kirk Herbstreit, who often favored BYU in his predictions early in the season, is going with Colorado. He likes Coach Prime’s messaging leading up to Saturday’s bowl game at the Alamodome.
“I’m just gonna give the Bowl Season game ball to Coach Prime. When people asked him, ‘Are these guys going to play this bowl game?’ He said, ‘What are you talking about? Of course, they’re going to play. We’re going to finish this thing,” Kirk Herbstreit said. “So that kind of energy getting ready for a bowl game is a bit of an outlier in the current world. So, salute to Coach Prime. And I’m definitely picking Colorado to win this game.”
